Today’s Quick-Tip-Tuesday comes from a talented furniture painter; Jennifer at Trillium Park Designs. I recently discovered her Facebook Page, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her work in the near future.
Jennifer’s Tip ~ When painting a project, park your furniture on gallon paint cans to give your piece some height. Add squares of wax paper atop each can to keep those pesky bits of dirt out of your beautiful fresh paint job!
Thanks Jennifer! This is a great tip to prevent back aches and keep floor dust from ruining a flawless finish!

After reading this tip from another blogger (affectionately known as MMS!), (so you know it’s not my original idea), I flip all of my pieces upside down. The tops rest on a dolly and I happily sit on my favorite painting stool, scooting the piece around as I need to get into all of the nooks and crannies! It’s easy and I find I don’t miss any places!

I am a DIYer and occasionally will paint a piece of furniture for myself or family, so I use the little paper perfume samples that fall out of your magazines and you don’t know what to do with…just put them under the legs of a furniture piece when it still needs a little extra time to dry!
