This little coffee table was found in a thrift store selling for $10. It had great shape and lines, but just needed a little TLC to show them off!
I gave the table a thorough cleaning with TSP, did an easy drawer repair, the usual sanding and priming, and then the table was sprayed in a Classic Black. After shooting 3 coats of black with my paint gun, I protected the table with Polyurethane (also sprayed) to provide a smooth semi-gloss finish.
The inside of the drawer was hand painted with Annie Sloans Emperor’s Silk and waxed to a smooth sheen for an unexpected POP of color!
I had fun transforming this thrift-find into a re-styled updated piece! It’s new home is with a young man who recently moved to downtown Toronto for his new job in the film industry!
