My BFF Terry is a PSW worker. Due to his work hygiene policies, he’s required to wear protective gloves when working with patients. Like me, latex irritates him. Well, it more than irritates him… latex gives him an allergic reaction which turn his hands flaming red, swollen and itchy. The poor guy can’t help but scratch until his hands bleed and scab.
What does this have to do with Quick-Tip-Tuesday on a furniture painters blog?
When Terry introduced me to Non-Latex Medical Gloves I fell in love with them!
The painting gloves I previously purchased from Home Depot were irritating, and way too big.
The medical gloves… NO irritation and they FIT like a second skin which is perfect for painting and staining! They can be purchased online or at any drug store for a fraction of the cost of painters gloves.
Feel free to check out last weeks Q-T-T here or chime in and let us know what you use to protect your hands while working.
And ohhh… these medical gloves are great for keeping your hands clean of paint, stain, wax, glaze etc, but they are not appropriate if you require protection from chemicals!
Happy Painting and enjoy your day!
