Whenever I remove screws from my projects, they grow a pair of legs and play hide and seek with me. Are you wasting precious time looking for your screws and hardware too?
For today’s Quick-Tip-Tuesday, here’s a simple idea I’ve been using to keep track of all my screws and hardware.
So simple. Take some painters tape (or any tape at all) and tape the hardware to your piece. If you have a lot of hardware, put all of it in a Ziploc bag and tape the entire bag to your piece.
Voila… they’re not playing hide and seek this time! If you have any ideas how to keep screws from disappearing… please share!
Also, you can catch last weeks Quick-Tip-Tuesday or feel free to go check out this chair transformation.
Enjoy your day!

I’ve been doing this for years and have never lost hardware from any project. If I have a lot of screws, hinges, etc., I put them is a plastic baggie and either tape it to the project or label it.
I do exactly the same thing! It works great and saves a LOT of time not chasing your “tail” trying to find your screws and hardware each time you have a project!
Ha! I am not alone! Thanks for the tip, Denise 🙂
