Happy Tuesday my friends!
A really Quick Tip ~ When you’re out and about shopping at Home Depot, Lowe’s, or any Paint Store, keep your eyes peeled for MisTints or Ooops Paints.
They are usually available right by the paint counter and you can pick up gorgeous colors for a fraction of the cost!
You can catch last weeks Q-T-T here… and I hope your day is filled with endless possibilities!

I did this many years ago when my family was building a Christmas village. The building facades were 6 ft tall and I was able to get great colors for each one for only a couple of dollars.
That sounds like such a festive Christmas project Vicki!!!
Thanks for this tip! I scored a fairly large sample pot of white for .75 and a quart of a lovely confederate gray for 3.00! I wouldn’t have know to look without having seen your post.
Good tip Denise….sometimes you forget about this, so also a good reminder 🙂
Right?? I picked up like 8 sample pots for .50c ea the other day and 2 pints for $2.00
The sample pots at .50c are AWESOME in dark or bright colors as mixing tints because they’re always in “flat” finish. So they’re great to make all sorts of different chalk paint colors.
I mix a bit of those deep or bright sample pots, with a lot of a light oops flat in a cream, white or grey, add my calcium carbonate and you get the exact shade of chalk paint you want, for peanuts !
Love it.
Love your blog too hon, thanks for the ideas.
Now that’s a steal of a deal Chez! Happy painting!
