Hi friends … Happy Monday!
Uggghh, I’ve been on my couch with a nasty flu bug and haven’t had the strength or energy to paint furniture – buuut I’ve been thinking about you. I realized the last time we connected with a reader’s survey was back in January 2016, so I’d love to hear from you again!
Any feedback you have to ensure this little blog of mine continues to be a blog you want to visit is really appreciated.

My Mom was always painting, refinishing, sewing, crafting etc. so it’s in my blood! We moved into my husband’s family home after being in our home for over 30 years…..starting over again with stripping paint, refinishing, repairing it was overwhelming at times. l bought quite a lot of used furniture from various sources because I left most of our stuff at the old house for my son to use when he moved in. My experimenting with chalk paint was very new to me, but I love it! I discovered though, that finishing with wax was not always protective enough, so I’m experimenting with different finishes. I love to paint! It’s the cleanup that’s killer, because I’m messy …..at least chalk paint is easy to clean up. Thanks for the inspiration, love the 3 different chalk paints finished with dark wax. Gorgeous. And, I’ve had good results with the dry brush technique, especially with deeply carved furniture.

Denise, hope you’re feeling better. I can relate as I’ve been down with a stomach flu myself, just horrible! I’ve been reading your blog and refer back to it all the time! IHOP have taught me so much and I absolutely love your style, the way you style your furniture, your ocassional glympses into your life, all of it, don’t change, unless however, they’re changes you want to better your business!
