12 INSPIRING BLUE PAINTED BEFORE AND AFTERS INCLUDING A LIST OF MY FAVORITE BLUES THAT ALWAYS LOOK AMAZING!
Hi SI family, so thrilled you’re here! I have a fun and inspiring collection to share with you today! A collection of BLUE Painted Furniture Makeovers. I’m also including a list of my favorite blue paints that ALWAYS look amazing and never disappoint!
There’s a link to the original post under each image if you’d like ALL the details on a piece.
#1. First up is this heavy-duty dresser. This was a solid made dresser with a ton of potential but looked SO bulky. To lighten it up we added some bun feet, a Ceramic Floral Furniture Transfer, and one of my favorite colors – Dusty Blue.

#2. Here’s a console table makeover from my inlaws. If you missed this post a few weeks ago, it was painted in gorgeous Savannah Mist Chalk Mineral Paint.
#3. So you can get an idea of what Savannah Mist looks like on a variety of styles, here it is painted on the sweetest vintage buffet.

MY GO-TO BLUE PAINT LIST!
#4. Blueberry anyone? This makeover was a ton of fun. I had the pleasure of sharing my studio with my goddaughter. While Jules worked on a side table, I was color blending with Blueberry and Bunker Hill Blue.

#5. Number five was a double whammy. This dresser was restyled twice with two very different looks. Its final look is with DIY Furniture Trim and the ever-stunning Vintage Duck Egg Blue. This dresser has JUST sold and they are coming for a porch p/u this evening. 🙂 I’m so happy she’s found her new home.

#6. Next up is this shapely game table my sister Andrea found at our local Restore. It was restyled in a blue that is fast becoming one of my fav’s – Antebellum Blue.
#7. Lucky number seven is another Antebellum Blue makeover on this large dresser. This one was pretty beat up and took a lot of TLC, but the finished product was stunning. The details were brought out with a dark glaze but this blue steals the show.
ANTEBELLUM BLUE BUFFET MAKEOVER
#8. A classic blue “In The Navy” makes for the perfect backdrop for this gold Somewhere In France furniture transfer. In The Navy is a classic navy blue that never disappoints!
#9. Here’s a buffet I painted in Bunker Hill Blue. It’s a classic blue with a little more punch!
#10. Did you miss last week’s Furniture Fixer Upper post? Here are some Thrift Store nightstands that were restyled in Antebellum Blue.

#11. If you’re looking for a moody blue, this Stormy Seas is it! This was a layered chalk paint technique, but Stormy Seas stole the show.

#12. Last is this $20 Craigslist Makeover that turned into a custom order. My client bought this dresser with a mixed blue finish and wanted me to create nightstands to match.
The problem – I hadn’t jotted down which blues I used and in what order. Lesson learned! The good news is they turned out amazing. And how could they not layering all these magnificent blues!

Hi Denise! Thank you for all of your inspiration. You did not add my favorite piece from you and that is the Faded Denim or Blue Jean piece. I have printed that recipe down and plan on using that one. I’m waiting for the perfect piece. Do you know which one i’m talking about?
I think I do know which one… I believe I added the link in the “Related Posts” section. It would have been a looooong post if I had added them all, lol. I was shocked at how many pieces I’ve painted blue! 😉
I’m not usually a ‘blue’ person, but you might kinda semi sorta little bit win me over! ; )

Blue is second only to white for me, so I really appreciate these. Beautiful work.
Thanks… blue is a go-to for me too. I didn’t even realize how much I used it on my makeovers until I started going through all my posts!
