17 SPRING INSPIRED PAINTED FURNITURE MAKEOVERS
Happy Tuesday friends, I hope your week is off to an amazing start! Let’s have some fun and take a look back at 17 Spring Inspired Painted Furniture Makeovers!
Spring is a BIG deal here in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and it’s hands down my favorite time of year. Along with the warmer temps and everything in nature turning green and starting to bloom, I get a little Spring Fever and this always reflects in my furniture makeovers.
Below are 17 of my favorite Spring Furniture Makeovers in no particular order. If you’d like to read the full tutorial including colors and supplies used, I’ve included a link to the original post in the title above each image.
Enjoy the roundup. I hope it inspires you to create something “Spring-EEE” as well. 😉

They’re all so pretty, but my favorites are #8 with all that bright happiness and delicious texture, and #12 with all that fabulous aged decoupage. 😍
Thanks so much Nadine! XOXO
Hi Denise!
I’m watching the snow melt, hoping and praying that spring is finally coming. Fingers crossed.
All of these spring inspired pieces are gorgeous! Number 3, the beautiful mid century cabinet was the first piece of your that I came across a few years ago. It’s why I began following you. I love it just as much now as I did when I first saw it. I’ve been on the lookout for a piece that I can create a similar look on ever since.
I really appreciate that you do such a wide variety of techniques and styles. It’s very very helpful to someone like me who is relatively new to furniture painting amd always trying to improve my skills. Thank you so much!
Youre sweet Val, thank you for the kindness and I’m SO HAPPY the #siblog is helpful! And ya, I’m right there with you when it comes to the snow!
Hi Denise! There is no way I can pick a favorite out of all these but I can tell you that I remember the first time I saw the Lavender fields dresser my jaw hit the ground. I had just started painting furniture and I had never seen anything so beautiful. So of course it’s in the top 5. The dresser with the Rose Celebration transfer had the same effect so that one is also in the top 6. I love the two milk painted pieces. They are all beautiful pieces!?
HUGE compliment Cheryl…especially from a fellow painter with amazing talent! Thank you! XOXO
Ahhhh Spring
4 Lilac desk My daughter loves purple – she’d love this shade 🙂
9 Sweet Hall Table Soft and elegant (Prob my fav)
16 Spring green tallboy Such a happy color
I also Love the soft blue milk paint armoire I’d definitely keep this one.
Your work is inspiring.
Ohhhh, I had to look again !
10 Blue floral side table I Do love this piece !
Happy Spring to you Denise. Please keep sharing your art.
p.
Happy spring to you as well P! I LOVE all your choices too…hehe.😉
How will we ever make do without your inspiration for 2 weeks! Your pieces are just lovely, Denise.
Do you sell on consignment or do you have a separate shop that you own? If a piece doesn’t sell, do you just list it on another site or do you redo it and resell right away? Hope that’s not too many questions. I’m thinking of consigning but am not sure. Some of the consignment places are super expensive not only in rent, but in the percentage they take from each sale.
Hi Caye! I sell my pieces on FBM, Kijiji etc but often they don’t make it to a listing because I have people inquiring here on the blog or over on my socials. A booth or consigning is great but yes, here in the GTA it can be costly and we don’t get as much traffic as some of the places cross border, unfortunately.
This really blend beautiful. I really love the color combination and i really want to have a cabinet like that it’s very stunning and elegant at the same time. Thanks a lot for sharing this!
Thank you Mary!
These are all gorgeous! I know there would have to be just the right market for these unique pieces to sell, and I’m just wondering, do you sell these very well?
Thank you, Shirley! They have all sold except three and this may be because I kept one and haven’t listed the other two. But VERY good point. Some furniture ‘styles’ sell much faster than others and it really does depend on your area as well.:)
They are all just sooo gorgeous that I can’t pick a favorite! You do beautiful work!
Thanks so much Donna!
Denise, your work leaves me breathless. It truly is sheer artistry. I am so amazed when I see such beautiful pieces. You inspire me to push myself and to try new things in my own painting endeavors. Keep up the great work and thanks so much for sharing. Jo
Thanks you VERY much Jo! XOXO
Great work! Hard to pick a favorite. I really love #12 the butterfly collage dresser.
Thanks, Suzanne! That one made it into a brochure for Redesign With Prima! I was THRILLED!!!
What a beautiful collection Denise! Congrats on making the mag cover, you are certainly deserving. So, while #4 spring lilac made me take a second (& third) look and #6 coral floral makes me feel good all over, I think my favorite has to be #17. I never realized how beautifully Palmetto & Kudzu blend.. I’ll have to put that in my idea book!!
Have a wonderful break with your family,
Clare
They blend beautifully, don’t they!? Thanks so much, Clare! Wishing you a Happy Easter as well. xo
Gosh, you do such beautiful work, Denise and I remember each and every one of these beauties. I love them ALL but the floral transfer dresser makes my heart go pitter-patter.
I’m a sucker for anything floral as well!🌸😉 … thanks, my friend. And HAPPY EASTER to you with BIG hugs! XOXO
As always, you have beautiful pieces, but if I had to choose, I would say #10, the blue dresser w/the blue flower transfer… as of this moment, blue is my favorite color to work with! 😁 and thanks for the attached tutorials! I always look forward to your Tuesday e-mails!
That #10 Dusty Blue made it to the front cover of the very first Dixie Belle Published Magazine so it puts a big smile on my face that you picked it! Thank you so much, Ulrike!😃
Hi Denise. What a beautiful selection of spring inspired furniture. I’m always a pushover for blues, pinks, and yellows, but I have to say you’ve gotten me liking green and purple:). I can’t pick just one favorite.
Thanks, my friend! Glad you liked the roundup! XOXO
