DIY PLANTERS
DIY CONCRETE HEAD PLANTER
This fine lady’s name is Alexandra! I had this plaster lady bust for years. Rather than have her collecting dust in a corner, I created a vessel on her crown and painted her in this Faux Concrete Finish that gives a lovely unique character!
MAKE METAL LOOK LIKE STONE
I always say it’s amazing what a little paint can do! My talented friend Jen from Girl In The Garage took this metal planter and make it look like stone with an easy paint technique! You can check out the full DIY Metal to Stone Planter here!
1 HOUR METAL PLANTER
An hour and a little paint can make a HUGE difference! I like shopping my home for items that haven’t been used in years. And let’s face it, we all have them, right?! Rather than buying new, a little paint can totally transform something you already have like this Painted Metal Planter! Such a beautifully textured transformation.

DIY UMBRELLA PLANTER
Now here’s a genius idea from my good friend Christy at Confessions Of A Serial DIYer – A DIY Umbrella Planter! Christy got tired of always placing her flowers on either side of the umbrella pole so decided to amend her existing planter dead center! I absolutely love this idea!
DIY DOLL HEAD PLANTERS
These thrift store dolls created quite a mixed reaction on the blog and social media! Some of you thought these were super cute and cool and others thought the process was super creepy! I’m really happy with the finished look and had a lot of fun with this DIY Doll Head Planter Project!
OLD CROCK WITH SISAL PLANTER
This planter makeover is super easy but packs a punch! My friend Kathy from Petticoat Junktion took this old crock, wrapped it with sisal, and filled it with these colorful succulents and how CUTE is this! You can check out the step by step for this DIY Crock With Sisal Planter here!
PLANT STANDS
WOOD BURNED STOOL
This was a first for me but I can imagine getting into pyrography aka wood burning! The creative crafts that can be done with this are endless! Here was a curb-shopped stool that I felt brave enough to try this Wood-Burning Technique on for the first time. The little bowl with the spider plant was also upcycled from the thrift store for .99 cents!
DIY AGES AND WEATHERED TERRACOTTA POTS
Have I mentioned that I LOVE ferns! I can’t tell you how many ferns I’ve purchased but I admit I have a hard time keeping them looking good. But check out this beauty in this DIY Weathered Terracotta Pot! My sweet friend Do from Do Dodson Designs painted this terracotta pot into this Aged and Weather Beauty!
80’s DIY PLANT STAND
This 80’s plant stand gets updated with a little stencil and paint. It went from a broken rooster tile to an updated Black and White Plant Stand.
DIY DRAWER PLANTERS
Here’s another amazing upcycled planter idea from Christy – Turn A Drawer Front Into A Planter! I love the idea of repurposing a drawer front that’s been orphaned from its original set of drawers!
WHITEWASHED WOOD PLANT STAND
If you like boho-style plant stands, this is definitely for you! Beautiful Re-do with the help of Whitewashed Wood and Mandela Stencil!
SISAL ROPE PLANTER
Here’s an amazing idea to transform a plain square glass planter. My friend Kathy from Petticoat Junktion created this gorgeous Sisal Rope Planter bringing a ‘coastal vibe’ back into her home. I love everything about this including the Sago Palm she planted in it!
DIY SEED STORAGE HOLDER
And we can’t forget those little seeds that sprout into gorgeous greens! Here’s an Adorable Seedbox Makeover from an upcycled wine box. Helps you keep and organize all your seeds!
